Driver Safety Tip #02 - School Zones

School zones are busy places at peak times with a mix of cars and people so drivers need to be on extra high alert.

In most cases the speed limit in a school zone is 40km per hour. This is to reduce accidents and to increase safety around the area.

Extra caution should be kept as young children can be hidden by obstacles and children can also act spontaneously and not be able to judge car speeds or when it safe to cross the road.
