Kia Motors Australia has joined forces with Driver Safety Australia to provide a national safe driver training initiative underscoring Kia's commitment to safety.
Driver Safety Australia, founded by Managing Director Russell White in 2006, provides a range of high level safe driving programs for schools, newly licensed drivers as well as occupational health and safety programs for many of Australia's leading corporations and fleet companies.
The programs range from hands-on instructional drive days in five-star safety Kia Rios, Ceratos and Sorentos through to innovative classroom presentations and on-line courses available to schools and workplaces.
"We are genuinely excited to have Kia as a partner in our program, not the least because of their demonstrated commitment to safety with a five-star NCAP product range," Mr White said. "Kia has previously committed to ensuring that every new or upgraded Kia model in Australia will wear a five-star rating." *
Driver Safety Australia highlights safety programs and initiatives, both commercial and community, that enhance drivers' balance and observation skills to create greater awareness and increase a driver's instinct behind the wheel.
Kia Motors Australia President and CEO, Mr S.H Cho said the decision to partner with Driver Safety Australia was one that sits comfortably with Kia's core values and beliefs.
"As a responsible corporate citizen, Kia has already stated the determination to provide the safest products," Mr Cho said. "The opportunity to extend that safety commitment further into the community was not a difficult one to make.
"After all, the only thing better than a safer vehicle is a safer driver."
